Rockford, June 5, 2023 – MPEC—
MPEC | NAPA is pleased to announce that we have completed the acquisition of the sixteen NAPA Auto Parts stores owned by The Ridge Company. These stores are in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan, with their main operations based out of South Bend, Indiana. The Ridge Company, like MPEC, began as a single store, family-owned business. The first store opened in Wisconsin in 1928 and continued to grow through the years. In 1950, The Goodhew family purchased six of the stores in the Indiana and Michigan area. In 2002, under Jim and Mark Goodhew’s leadership, The Ridge Company converted to the NAPA family. Today, The Ridge Company’s sixteen stores are market leaders in the region, providing outstanding service and strong parts availability. The Company’s values align perfectly with MPEC, and we are confident these operations will be immediately accretive to MPEC’s portfolio.
This marks our largest acquisition in the MPEC history, and it continues to highlight that our growth is possible thanks to our dedicated team of automotive aftermarket professionals. We are pleased to welcome the 200 employees from the Ridge team as part of the MPEC | NAPA team and look forward to continued growth in 2023.
